Spam isn't going away. Your customers need the most reactive, hands free defenses available. Clearswift's new Edge Server works in harmony with their current MIMEsweeper for SMTP installation while drawing on thousands of other Edge Servers in the grid to form an impenetrable virtual barrier from which the whole community benefits and the spammers lose out.
The Edge Server is an email firewall. It filters the inbound connection for all the bad stuff that circulates and threatens their infrastructure. It stops spam, viruses and malware and it keeps it all away from their valuable internal networks.
It also provides a safe and trusted connection for confidential communications between your customers and their valued business partners through the use of TLS encryption.
The Edge Server uses secure Linux as its core, has a lights-out operating philosophy and will become a core part of the NEW MIMEsweeper for SMTP infrastructure at the next major refresh.
When Clearswift introduced MIMEsweeper SMTP v5.x, they split MIMEsweeper into Policy Servers and Configuration Servers. They are now taking that concept one step further and splitting the Policy Server in two unequal halves.
Customers are being encouraged to move the technology known as the Policy Server in to the safe network where it will process clean email and enforce Data Leakage and Acceptable Use policies. The customer is therefore recommended to place new Edge Server in to the DMZ.
The Edge Server is available today to all supported customers, free of charge (* excludes Kaspersky which is licensed separately), so that they can benefit from the incredible range of next generation anti-spam tools Clearswift have been developing.
