Those channel partners who invest more in Websense (with marketing, support, training, etc.) get more margin and this extension to the Websense Partner Program is based on the same tenet.
The deal registration system is a significant step towards rewarding effort and work from Websense channel partners and is designed to assist the channel with protecting existing business, whilst promoting the opportunity to up sell and win new customers.

New Business is defined as any sale to a brand new customer or the sale of any new product family into an existing customer.
All Renewal Business, user upgrades and product upgrades within the same product family will automatically be logged by Websense against the incumbent reseller.
